Computer Support Engineer

IT / Helpdesk (Tier 1) Specialist The position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring and support of end user client systems as well as the necessary behind the scenes documentation, vendor management and trouble ticket escalation.


Role and Responsibilities: 

1. Logging incoming support requests with PSA software and/or per intake policy. 

2. Providing immediate technical support to clients through onsite and remote means (phone, email, etc). 

3. Install software and perform routine maintenance and network administration tasks. 

4. Document actions, troubleshooting steps and, equipment information. 

5. Perform bench work and research as required. 6. Attending training as requested by Company to maintain skills in required areas.


Requirements and Qualifications:

1. High School education. 

2. Understanding of computer and network hardware, including routing/switching. 

3. Experience troubleshooting basic computer/network hardware issues and Windows based systems. 

4. Experience troubleshooting user issues including email, printing, network and virus-related issues. 

5. Job occasionally requires traveling short distances (reimbursed) to client sites. 

6. Occasionally requires lifting equipment of up to 100lbs. 

7. Willingness to learn, adapt, grow, accept criticism and work as part of a close-knit team.
